They embraced/welcomed/accepted me with open arms/warm hearts/unconditional love.
My transition/journey/experience has been a rollercoaster/whirlwind/mix of emotions. There were moments/times/instances of joy, doubt/fear/uncertainty, and strength/courage/resilience. But through it all, I learned/grew/evolved to love/accept/embrace myself for who I am.
